Setup, permissions, and the limits of what Lyro can do inside Klipfolio.

  • A data source is the definition and an instance is a configured use of it, and the toolkit keeps them separate. Create Data Source Instance builds one from an existing source, Get Data Source Instance Data returns the rows it currently holds, and Get Data Source Instance Properties covers its configuration. Refreshing happens at the instance level.

  • Close to it. Create User adds the account with optional roles and a client association, Assign User Role grants the role-based permissions, and Resend User Invite pushes the invitation again if it was missed. Reset User Password triggers a reset when someone is locked out.

  • Get Role Permissions returns the permissions attached to a role, Get Role Users lists who currently holds it, and Get User Roles goes the other way for one person. That is enough to answer whether a colleague should already be able to see a dashboard before anyone changes a setting.

  • Get User Profile returns the authenticated user's profile and doubles as the authentication test, which separates a broken connection from a genuinely empty result. List All Data Sources and List Data Source Instances then show what that account can actually reach.
