The AI they switched to cost more and did less

GameBoost has sold game accounts, keys, currencies and coaching since 2018, with 1,500+ verified sellers and 350K+ gamers served. Its 15+ support agents field 13,000+ conversations a month, most of them one-time buyers asking the same questions.

After leaving Tidio for another AI tool, per-resolution pricing counted assumed resolutions the same as real ones, the bot malfunctioned despite correct setup, and support replies took about a day. Agents could not keep up with live chat volume.

“All of my customer support staff, they really miss Tidio, they love working on it because it's so fast, like it's so simple and it was a mistake to move from here to be honest. So I'm really happy.”
Barbara Britvić · Chief Operating Officer, GameBoost

Three tiers, with Lyro in the middle

GameBoost returned to Tidio and built a multi-tiered support strategy around Lyro, keeping its own dashboard ticketing system for anything that needs a person.

  1. Help articles handle self-service first

    01
  2. Lyro answers as the second line of defense

    02
  3. Complex issues escalate to the GameBoost dashboard ticketing system

    03
  4. One workflow runs normal operations

    04
  5. A second workflow covers holidays and off-hours, AI only

    05
  6. Billing counts one unique user per month, not per resolution

What changed day to day

  • Repetitive questions stop early

"Can I sell my account?" and "Can I get a better discount?" no longer reach an agent. Lyro resolves 86% of inquiries without human intervention.

  • Off-hours run themselves

A dedicated holiday and off-hours workflow lets Lyro handle inquiries alone when no agent is online, so coverage does not depend on staffing.

  • The bill stopped moving

Per-resolution fees are gone, including charges for assumed resolutions. Pricing is now one predictable monthly charge per unique user.

  • Agents got their tool back

Support staff said they were relieved to return to a platform they find fast and simple, and GameBoost has a Customer Success Manager to call on.

GameBoost went back to what worked, and put Lyro in front of it

Next: a fuller help center for Lyro to learn from, API access so customers can check account points and payment dates in chat, and continued training on historical chats and canned responses.
