Hex

Hex MCP integration

Triggers project runs, reports run status and rendered charts, edits draft cells, and keeps workspace collections and sharing tidy.

32actions available

Three actions you can hand over today

Every action runs live through MCP. Nothing to build, nothing to maintain.

  • Update project status

Lyro adds or updates a status on a Hex project including endorsements and tags. Your team stays aligned on project progress and priority without leaving the chat.

  • Get project runs

Lyro retrieves the status of project runs you triggered via API. You track whether analysis jobs succeeded or failed and when results will be ready.

  • Cancel run

Lyro stops a Hex project run that is in progress. You halt long-running analysis if priorities change or results are no longer needed.

How businesses use Hex + Lyro

Each card is one request a support team gets, and the Hex actions Lyro runs to close it.

  • Report on a Hex run without opening the workspace

Lyro pulls the run history for a project, reads the latest run's status and timing, and returns the rendered chart image from a run that completed cleanly.

Get Project RunsGet Run Chart ImageGet Project
  • Kick off a run and stop it when it goes wrong

Lyro triggers the latest published version of a project on request, watches the run status, and cancels an execution that is still in progress if the inputs turn out to be wrong.

    Run ProjectGet Run StatusCancel Run
  • Edit the draft version of a project

Lyro adds a SQL or code cell to a project draft, rewrites the source of an existing one, and removes a cell that is no longer needed, so a small change does not wait for someone to open Hex.

    Create CellUpdate CellDelete Cell
  • Keep workspace access and collections in order

Lyro grants or changes a person's access level on a project, files projects into a collection, and lists who is in the workspace, so access requests are handled as they arrive.

How it works

Get started in 3 steps

Connect once, then just ask. There is no workflow builder to learn and nothing to maintain — Lyro reads the Hex actions it has and picks the ones a request needs.

  1. 01

    Connect Hex

Authorize the Hex account your team already uses — one consent screen, no API keys, no mapping tables. Lyro can only do what you granted that account, and you can disconnect it at any time.

  2. 02

Tell your agent what you need

Describe the job the way you would hand it to a teammate. Lyro maps it to the Hex actions that close it and chains as many as the request needs.

  3. 03

    Watch it work

The agent runs the actions inside the conversation the customer is already in, so nobody copies data between tabs and your team can take over at any point.

Everything else about Hex

Setup, permissions, and the limits of what Lyro can do inside Hex.

  • Cell edits go through Create Cell, Update Cell, and Delete Cell, all of which require the EDIT_PROJECT_CONTENTS permission on the connected credential. Edit Project Sharing Collections additionally needs a workspace token with both Projects Write and Collections Write scope, so read-only tokens can still list and report but cannot change anything.
