Templates only. Send SMS via Flow (V5) requires a template that has already been created and approved in the MSG91 dashboard, and Lyro supplies the dynamic variables for it. The OTP action works the same way, sending through a pre-configured MSG91 template rather than free text.

What happens when a customer never receives their code?

Resend OTP issues a new code to the same mobile number and can deliver it as a voice call rather than a text, which is what usually gets through when SMS is being filtered. Verify OTP then checks whatever code the customer read back.

What kind of failures does Get Failed Events actually surface?

Processing failures inside a Segmento campaign - validation errors, invalid recipients, and missing required data - returned with detail per event, filterable by date range and paginated. It is keyed on a campaign_id, so Lyro looks up the campaign first with List Campaigns.

Can Lyro send WhatsApp or email through this MSG91 connection?

Not through these actions. MSG91 supports those channels on its own platform, but the connected toolkit covers SMS via Flow, OTP send, resend and verify, and the Segmento event actions. Lyro reaches customers on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and email directly, so those conversations do not need to route through MSG91.
