Google Chat

Google Chat MCP integration

Posts and edits space messages, reads a thread before replying, opens the right direct message, and keeps space membership and roles current.

45actions available

Three actions you can hand over today

Every action runs live through MCP. Nothing to build, nothing to maintain.

  • Create message

Lyro posts a message to a Google Chat space. Your team keeps conversations in one place without typing or switching apps.

  • Update message

Lyro edits an existing message in a Google Chat space. Your team corrects typos or adds info without deleting and reposting.

  • Get message

Lyro retrieves the full details of a specific message. Your team reviews message content and context without scrolling through a thread.

How businesses use Google Chat + Lyro

Each card is one request a support team gets, and the Google Chat actions Lyro runs to close it.

  • Read the thread before answering in it

Lyro lists the recent messages in a space and the reactions sitting on them, so a reply picks up where the thread actually is instead of restating an answer the team has already moved past.

  • Post an update and keep it current

Lyro posts into the right space, uploads a file as an attachment when one is needed, and edits that same message later rather than stacking corrections underneath the original.

  • Set up a space and manage who is in it

Lyro creates a space with the right people and Google Groups already added, brings in a new member later, and changes someone's role between member and manager when ownership moves.

  • Reach one person instead of a channel

When something belongs to an individual rather than a room, Lyro returns the existing direct message space with that user, or searches the Workspace organization for the space that already covers the topic.

How it works

Get started in 3 steps

Connect once, then just ask. There is no workflow builder to learn and nothing to maintain — Lyro reads the Google Chat actions it has and picks the ones a request needs.

  1. 01

    Connect Google Chat

Authorize the Google Chat account your team already uses — one consent screen, no API keys, no mapping tables. Lyro can only do what you granted that account, and you can disconnect it at any time.

  2. 02

Tell your agent what you need

Describe the job the way you would hand it to a teammate. Lyro maps it to the Google Chat actions that close it and chains as many as the request needs.

  3. 03

    Watch it work

The agent runs the actions inside the conversation the customer is already in, so nobody copies data between tabs and your team can take over at any point.

Everything else about Google Chat

Setup, permissions, and the limits of what Lyro can do inside Google Chat.

  • No. Custom emojis are only available on Google Workspace accounts, and an administrator has to turn the feature on first. Where it is off, Lyro can still list spaces, post messages, and add reactions, but Create Custom Emoji and List Custom Emojis will not return anything useful.
