Which groups and polls can Lyro see?

Only what the connected Loomio account can access, since both list actions are scoped to the groups and polls accessible to that user. A private group that member does not belong to stays invisible to Lyro.

Why does Lyro need two calls to answer one question about a poll?

List Polls returns poll IDs and basic metadata only, so Lyro uses it to identify the right poll and then calls Show Poll with that ID for the full record. The same two-step applies to List Groups and Show Group.

How is this different from a Loomio digest email or a Zapier automation?

A digest arrives on a schedule and a Zapier step fires on one fixed event. Lyro looks the decision up at the moment somebody asks, follows the poll or group they mean, and hands the conversation to a person when the answer needs a human judgement call.
