Knack

Knack MCP integration

Reads, filters and pages through records, writes them through objects or form views, attaches files and images, and deletes by ID.

10actions available

Three actions you can hand over today

Every action runs live through MCP. Nothing to build, nothing to maintain.

  • Create object record

Lyro creates a new record in a Knack object during a conversation. Customer data is captured and organized instantly without manual form entry.

  • Update object record

Lyro modifies an existing Knack record by its ID. Support can update customer information, project status, or any tracked field in real time.

  • List object records

Lyro retrieves multiple records from a Knack table with filtering options. Support can search for customer accounts, projects, or data without leaving the chat.

How businesses use Knack + Lyro

Each card is one request a support team gets, and the Knack actions Lyro runs to close it.

  • Look up a record without opening the app

Lyro retrieves one record with every field value in both formatted and raw form, or pages through up to 1000 records at a time from an object or a view, filtered and sorted by field.

  • Add or amend a record from the conversation

Lyro creates a record straight on the object, or through a form view so the record rules configured there still run, and updates only the fields supplied while every other value stays as it was.

  • Attach a file or image to a record

Lyro uploads the asset to the Knack application first, takes the file ID it returns, and writes that ID into the record's file or image field, which is the two-step sequence Knack requires.

    Upload FileUpload ImageUpdate object record
  • Remove a record that should not be there

Lyro deletes a record by ID through the object API, or through a view carrying a delete link once the scene key, view key and record ID are confirmed, both of which are permanent.

How it works

Get started in 3 steps

Connect once, then just ask. There is no workflow builder to learn and nothing to maintain — Lyro reads the Knack actions it has and picks the ones a request needs.

  1. 01

    Connect Knack

Authorize the Knack account your team already uses — one consent screen, no API keys, no mapping tables. Lyro can only do what you granted that account, and you can disconnect it at any time.

  2. 02

Tell your agent what you need

Describe the job the way you would hand it to a teammate. Lyro maps it to the Knack actions that close it and chains as many as the request needs.

  3. 03

    Watch it work

The agent runs the actions inside the conversation the customer is already in, so nobody copies data between tabs and your team can take over at any point.

Everything else about Knack

Setup, permissions, and the limits of what Lyro can do inside Knack.

  • Object access uses the application's API key and reaches every field and record: List Object Records returns up to 1000 per page with filtering and sorting. View access is scoped to a view's configuration, so List View Records returns only the fields that view exposes and Create View Record fires the record rules set up on the form. Lyro uses whichever matches the permission model you want enforced.
