What is the difference between object access and view access?

Object access uses the application's API key and reaches every field and record: List Object Records returns up to 1000 per page with filtering and sorting. View access is scoped to a view's configuration, so List View Records returns only the fields that view exposes and Create View Record fires the record rules set up on the form. Lyro uses whichever matches the permission model you want enforced.

What credentials does the object API need?

Object-based calls authenticate with the X-Knack-Application-Id and X-Knack-REST-API-KEY headers. Lyro acts with the application key you connect, so what that key can reach is exactly what Lyro can reach - narrowing access means issuing a narrower key in Knack.

Can Lyro attach a file to a record in one call?

No, Knack splits it in two. Upload File or Upload Image sends the asset to the application and returns a file ID, and only then does Create Object Record or Update Object Record write that ID into the record's file or image field. Lyro runs both halves within a single exchange.

Does an update wipe the fields Lyro did not touch?

No. Update Object Record modifies only the fields included in the request and leaves everything else unchanged. Deletes are the opposite: Delete Object Record and Delete View Record are permanent and cannot be undone, so Lyro confirms the record before calling either.
