Is there a rate limit on generating alt text?

Create Image is limited to four calls per second. For anything larger, Bulk Create Images accepts a CSV of up to 100,000 image URLs in one submission and returns invalid rows in row_errors, which is the route for a catalogue rather than a loop of single calls.

Will scraping a page catch images loaded by JavaScript?

No. Scrape Page for Images does not execute JavaScript, so anything injected by a script or lazy-loaded in the browser will not be queued. Those images need their URLs passed directly through Create Image or a bulk CSV.

Can Lyro point an existing entry at a new image URL?

No. Update Image by Asset ID changes alt text and metadata but not the URL of an existing image. A replaced image needs a fresh Create Image call, and the superseded asset can be cleared with Delete Image by Asset ID.

Does Search Images look beyond our own library?

No. It searches only your AltText.ai library, matching URLs, alt text and metadata across images already added through Create Image. Anything never submitted to the account will not appear in the results.
