Setup, permissions, and the limits of what Lyro can do inside Zeplin.

  • Scope, and the toolkit keeps separate actions for each. List Project Colors and Update Project Color act on tokens defined inside one project, while List Styleguide Colors, Create Styleguide Color, and Update Styleguide Color act on the shared styleguide that several projects inherit from - so the same edit either fixes one project or moves the whole system.

  • Through OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, exposed directly as Start OAuth authorization (PKCE). The connection therefore carries a real Zeplin user's permissions, so what can be listed or updated is whatever that person can already reach. List Personal Projects is the quickest way to confirm which workspace you actually connected.

  • Pushed, in one specific form. Create Screen Version uploads a PNG or JPEG snapshot as a new version of a screen that already exists, with List Screen Versions and Get Screen Version reading the history back. Nothing in the toolkit creates a screen from nothing, so the screen has to be there first.

  • Yes, by email or username, through Invite Project Member. It is the only membership action in the toolkit, so removing access or changing a role still happens in Zeplin - worth knowing before wiring this into an onboarding flow that expects both directions.
