Neither. Add Gifts To Batch appends to a batch that already exists, so the batch is opened in Raiser's Edge NXT first, and nothing is committed from here. Gifts sit in the batch until your team processes it, which keeps a human review step in front of every posted donation.

What does the payment lookup need beyond a normal Blackbaud connection?

Get Payment Transaction reads the SKY Payments API, which requires a Payments API subscription key (Bb-Api-Subscription-Key) alongside the OAuth bearer token. Without that subscription the gift and membership lookups still work, but the transaction call will not.

Why does Lyro need a record ID rather than a donor's name?

Both lookups are ID-based: Get Gift By ID takes the integer system record ID and Get Membership Details takes a member_junction_id GUID. There is no constituent search action in this toolkit, so the ID has to arrive from the conversation, a link the donor received, or a system that already holds it.

What is the OneRoster action for?

It covers Blackbaud OneRoster OAuth2 base endpoints: fetching the OpenID configuration, the JWKS public key set, or an access token through the client credentials grant. It is plumbing for the education side of Blackbaud rather than a donor-facing action, and the client credentials have to be configured before the token operation works.
