Get List of Jobs returns transcription jobs from the past 30 days with pagination, so anything older has to be tracked by job ID on your side. Delete Job By ID permanently removes a finished job and its data if it should go sooner than that.

Why does Lyro check the job before returning a transcript?

Get Transcript by ID and Get Captions both need the job status to be completed. Confirming with Get Job by ID first means Lyro can say a recording is still processing rather than returning an empty transcript that looks like a failure.

Is a custom vocabulary usable straight after it is submitted?

Not immediately. Submit Custom Vocabulary processes domain-specific terms asynchronously, and Get Custom Vocabulary Details returns the processing status along with the phrases submitted, so Lyro can confirm it is ready before a transcription job relies on it.

What formats do transcripts and captions come back in?

Transcripts come back as JSON with timestamps and speaker information, or as plain text. Captions come back as SRT or VTT through Get Captions, which is the format a video player or subtitle file expects, and both are drawn from the same completed job.
