Can Lyro see photos the customer took on their own phone?

No. Since 31 March 2025 the Google Photos Library API returns only media items that your own application uploaded, which is exactly what List Media Items (App-Created Only) reflects. Camera roll photos, items from other apps, and web uploads are out of reach; Google's Photos Picker API is the route to a user's full library.

How much can Lyro upload in one request?

Upload Media takes images up to 200MB and videos up to 20GB, and Batch Create Media Items handles a maximum of 50 items per request, optionally dropping them into an album at a specific position. Larger sets are split across several calls.

How does a file actually reach Google Photos?

Batch Create Media Items accepts three input shapes: a list of public URLs with file names extracted automatically, objects carrying a URL or file plus a name and description, or references to files that were uploaded beforehand. Which applies depends on where the media sits when the conversation starts.

Can Lyro delete a photo or an album?

No. This toolkit uploads, adds, updates, searches, downloads, and enriches, but exposes no delete action for media items or albums. Removing something stays a manual step inside Google Photos, which keeps an automated flow from destroying a customer's media.
