Which Exist attributes can Lyro actually read?

Only the ones your OAuth read scopes cover. Get Attributes With Values and Get User Attributes both return results limited to the granted scopes, and Get User Profile omits fields the token was not authorised for, so a missing value usually means a narrower scope rather than missing data.

Does Lyro need anything special before it can write data to Exist?

Yes. Exist only accepts writes to attributes your service owns, so Lyro calls Acquire Attribute Ownership first and can check Get Owned Attributes to see what it already controls. Release Attribute Ownership stops the writes without deleting the attribute.

Can Lyro increment any type of attribute?

No. Increment Attribute Values covers numeric counters and cumulative data only; string, scale, and time of day attributes are excluded, and the toolkit exposes no separate setter for them. Lyro reads the attribute type from Get User Attributes before attempting a write.

How is this different from piping Exist data through Zapier?

A Zap runs a fixed step when a trigger fires. Lyro decides mid-conversation which Exist calls to make - checking the attribute catalog, pulling values, then reading a correlation - and can chain them in one exchange instead of following a single predefined path.
