Most of the queue was one question

Curate Health is a fully licensed UK internet pharmacy overseen by the General Pharmaceutical Council, delivering prescription-only treatments direct to patients. Twelve support agents covered both live chat and Zendesk email. In two days, 3,000+ support emails arrived.

The majority were simple order status questions, each one needing a manual lookup before anyone could reply. The backlog grew faster than the team could clear it, response times stretched, and agents were spending their day retrieving data instead of handling real cases.

“We're having a nightmare with just the volume of stuff that comes in and we're wanting some level of AI before people even reach a human. Because most of the time it's where's my order and if we can just get them a response, it helps us a lot.”
Andrew Welford · Curate Health

Lyro went in front of the order system

Curate Health needed something live the same day. Lyro Smart Actions let them build a custom order status lookup against their Shopify-based order management, which the native Shopify integration could not cover.

  1. Lyro answers in chat before a request reaches a human agent

  2. A custom Smart Action queries the Shopify order system over API

  3. Custom order tags and statuses map into a usable order answer

    03
  4. Existing support documentation and FAQs feed Lyro's knowledge

  5. Anything Lyro cannot resolve hands off to a human agent

  6. Chat, email and social inquiries run from one platform

What changed day to day

  • Order questions answer themselves

The order status action ran over 180 times on the first day. The lookups that used to interrupt an agent now finish inside the chat.

  • Resolution moved 41% to 70%

The AI resolution rate rose from a 41% average to around 70% within 24 hours of Lyro Smart Actions going live.

  • Twelve agents got their queue back

The support team had been stretched across chat and Zendesk email. Removing repetitive order lookups took the bulk of the volume off them.

  • Half of it never reaches a person

Over the first 30 days Curate Health held a 52.99% resolution rate, handling more than half of all inquiries without human intervention.

Curate Health didn't add headcount. It put Lyro in front of the order system.

Next comes Lyro on Facebook Messenger and Instagram, conversation flows that qualify leads and collect customer data before handoff, and a move from tag-based to meta-field order tracking. A full migration from Zendesk to Tidio is under evaluation.
