70% automated. 1,409 off-season interactions.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers kept their Ticketing & Fan Services team exactly as it was and put Lyro AI and Flows in front of it. Lyro now handles 70% of fan chatbot inquiries with no human involvement.

Repetitive game-day questions took the whole day

The Blue Bombers run year-round: season ticket programs, membership plans and game-day operations at Princess Auto Stadium. Most incoming chats were simple and predictable — parking, drink prices, gate entry — and every one of them still needed a rep to answer it.

Earlier chatbot platforms gave the team no real automation. Reps tied up on basic FAQs had less time for fans asking about season tickets, renewals and memberships. Instagram and Facebook DMs sat outside the workflow entirely, so those fans got no response at all.

“Personally, I’m proud that we’ve been able to generate 1,409 interactions over the last 30 days in the middle of our off-season. Every fan who reached out received the information they were looking for, which helped us strengthen that sense of care and connection with our fanbase during a time of the year when football typically isn’t top of mind.”
Cody Mitchell · Email Marketing & CRM Manager, Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Lyro first, then Flows, then the social channels

The team picked Tidio for ease of use and for the combination of Lyro AI and Flows, then rolled the two out in sequence on top of the existing Fan Services team.

What changed day to day

  • Reps only see the chats that matter

The 30% of conversations that reach a person are almost entirely high-priority: ticket purchases, memberships, complex questions and edge cases that need a human decision.

  • Social DMs get an answer

Instagram and Facebook messages are a managed channel for the first time, routed automatically to the Social Media department instead of going unanswered.

  • The off-season stays busy

Fans generated 1,409 interactions in 30 days with no games on the schedule, and every one of them received the information they were looking for.

  • More time for outbound calls

With repetitive Q&As out of the daily workflow, the team makes outbound calls to interested fans, welcomes new season ticket members and answers sales questions.

The Blue Bombers didn’t add headcount. They put Lyro in front of the inbox.

When single-game tickets go on sale, the team plans to expand its Flows to more in-season interactions: single-game ticket purchases, parking passes and common game-day questions.
